What does your gym look like?
Manly Kayaks Fitness Classes provides a perfect way to get fit while outdoors enjoying pristine beaches and waterways. Our fitness classes involves a full body work out with a mixture of the basic skills of kayaking and paddling techniques as well as core, cardio and strength building beach plyometrics and endurance training. Our Kayaking and Yoga classes offers basic paddling with a blend of yoga techniques and stretching movements - providing you with core strength, energy and a revitalized feeling. The duration of our fitness classes and kayak/yoga classes are approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Kayakercise Classes includes paddle and basic kayaking techniques. These classes are more water based compared with the fitness classes. The main emphasis of Kayakercise is to build endurance and strength and to paddle more places and explore more sites. Techniques will include ongoing efficient forward paddling, efficient backwards paddling, ongoing sideways displacement, safety and rescue techniques and overall paddle fitness. The duration of the Kayakercise classes are one hour. Cost: $20 per class or $15 with your Total Paddle Card (10 pass) Includes: Instructor, kayak, paddles, life vest
What to bring: • Paddling clothes (rash vest, board shorts, hat, trainers) • Drinking water • Sunscreen and towel • Thermal top, wind breaker (on cold days) • Dry change of clothes for after the paddle • Yoga mat or large towel for yoga classes
From time to time we have to cancel our fitness classes due to severe weather conditions. It is often at short notice and a judgment call made by management is made at 5pm the day before based on weather forecast for the following day for the 6am class, and by 7.30am on the day of the 8.30am & 9.30am classes.
